Thank you to all the great people who have and continue to support us on this journey of idiocy. Your generosity has been a pleasent surprise and just does not let up. At the beginning of this, we felt that the only way to make it happen was to get sponsors. That proved to be a bit more difficult than expected, however the people stepped up and have ensured that we are in good shape for the journey. Check out the list to the left, all those people helped us out, man I am getting a bit teary eyed. Thanks again and we hope you enjoy following our progress.

We would also like to thank a few of the people that have helped out above and beyond the typical. Pix from Team Mongolian Falcon has provided an incredible amount of help in prep, including a place to stay and some pretty fierce last minute automotive assistance. Dominic's mother, Michele Craig, has been supporting us from the time when most thought we were just talking and not walking. She also made by far the biggest t shirt purchase and one of the largest KDC purchases. Be sure to check out her website at, www.bonaireimages.com. The Northern Power Production Crew, led by Peter Edlund, came through huge with a full tool kit shipped directly to Pix's house in the UK. This was completely unexpected and thoroughly appreciated, we will be sure to get some pictures of the goods in use. Sven Curth drove from Saranac through some horrendous rain storms to come play two of our fundraisers in Vermont. Check out his latest solo album, "Me and Jim. Jen's mother, Connie Young, not only supported us with ample financial contributions but also spent a whole lot of time watching the mechanic. This has been a massive help to the headquarters staff.

And finally and most importantly, thank you to all our families for their understanding and support. I know this is not what most parent's envision their children doing once they grow up, but you have all stood behind us regardless.

As part of the entry fee for the rally each team must raise 1750 dollars. This means that bad colonies raised 3500 dollars for some very reputable charities. We have chosen Send a Cow and Mercy Corps to support. To learn more check out below.

Mercy Corps alleviates suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Since 1979, Mercy Corps has provided more than £500 million in assistance to people in 81 nations. The organisation's 2,100 staff worldwide currently reach 7 million people in more than 35 countries. Mercy Corps allocates more than 92 percent of its resources to programs that assist people in need.

Send a Cow gives direct, practical help to poor farmers in Africa, by providing, cows and other livestock, training in livestock rearing and organic farming, and low-cost veterinary and advice services.

Since 1988 Send a Cow has given cows and other livestock to hundreds of poor African farmers - mainly women, orphans and disabled people. The animals provide milk and incomes, and their manure increases crop yields, combating poverty and malnutrition.
